Welcome to Mr. Dennis' Art Class 

Mr. Dennis RedMoon Darkeem is Bronx-born and raised. Mr. Dennis has been an Art educator for over ten years in the South Bronx and Harlem area. This is Mr. Dennis’ 4th year at South Bronx Early College Academy.  Mr. Dennis has become a prominent contemporary artist in the Bronx receiving many accolades like Artist-in-Residence with many Art organizations like Wave Hill, the Laundromat Project and EmergeNYC with NYU. Mr. Dennis has also exhibited works at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Brooklyn Museum, Rush Art, and Smack Mellon.

 

Mr. Dennis believes in the philosophy "Art is Power.” He uses Art as a tool to engage, inspire, and educate. Mr. Dennis celebrates each student’s uniqueness allowing them to tap into their creative self.
